Vamos a la Playa de Punta Cana

Looking for a beach getaway for the weekend? Look no further than the beautiful waters of La Dominicana Republicana. The weather was bangin’ and the beach was a whole vibe. It rained everyday - for like 10 minutes, and then the sun was back out. Like, what?! The sand was bright and the water was so blue, which didn’t surprise me, but you can’t find that at every beach.

We stayed at HM Bávaro Beach, which is an all-inclusive resort. We only did the breakfast included choice, but the restaurants in the resort were good and so cheap. They had breakfast on the rooftop every morning, mimosas included. On the rooftop was the infinity pool, which was my fave. It was pretty quiet up there, not too many people, and they brought food and drinks to you. Obviously, that’s a dream.

They main restaurant was where we ate every night, and the food was good! I basically had pasta every night, duh. On our last night, they had a singer and a live artist, which was fun and added to the atmosphere. There was another pool near the entrance with a bar, and even they would bring drinks to you on the beach. I just get giddy thinking about being pampered like that, like that’s not an everyday activity and it was fantastic. The staff was so sweet and attentive.

Our room had an ocean view, and it was everything and more. The sunrise and sunset on the patio, immaculate, I wish everyone can have that experience. On the beach, we snagged comfy cabanas with umbrellas. Jake likes the shade, I like the sun, so that was a perfect accommodation for us.

Our activity for the trip was snorkeling - something we both haven’t done in years. While I didn’t get to see any of my sea turtles, we did see the coral reefs and bright fish, which was so beautiful to see again. And again, the water. Like, wow. The catamaran we were on was so great, the staff was amazing, and the people we met brought the party and the vibes. I will say I got very drunk off the included Caribbean rum and cokes, oops!

This was a perfect long weekend, low budget trip to take with your significant other. I highly recommend an HM Bávaro hotel if you go to the Caribbean.
